Baltimore Ravens Select Colorado CB Jimmy Smith in First Round of 2011 NFL Draft
After some confusion while trying to work out a trade with the Chicago Bears, the Baltimore Ravens decided to take a risk on Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith with the 27th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Smith joins a Ravens’ squad that reached the playoffs for the third consecutive season after finishing with a 12-4 record. (more…)
Ravens Safety Tom Zbikowski Passes Second Drug Test; Hopes For Lifted Suspension
Baltimore Ravens safety Tom Zbikowski has been one of the most fascinating stories this offseason and how he’s made a second career for himself as a boxer during the lockout–that is until Tuesday when news broke that he received a 45-day suspension by the Oklahoma boxing commission after testing positive for marijuana before a match on Saturday. Lucky for Zbikowski, that suspension may be lifted after the results of a second test. (more…)
Rant Sports NFL Draft Special: Baltimore Ravens on the Clock

Baltimore Ravens Release 2011 Schedule
The Baltimore Ravens released their 2011 schedule for the regular season on Tuesday and at first glance–it’s going to be a difficult road as they look to reach the postseason for the fourth-straight year. They open up the season at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers before hitting the road for two games against the Tennessee Titans and St. Louis Rams. (more…)
Baltimore Ravens Release 2011 Preseason Schedule
Despite the current lockout, the NFL released the 2011 preseason schedule for all 32 teams on Tuesday. This year, the Baltimore Ravens will face two tough road tasks against the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons along with hosting the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins at home. (more…)
